Our little campaign has officially reached an exciting milestone: we have met the signature requirements for the November ballot for the RTD Board of Directors, District B. This achievement was only possible because of volunteers, supporters, friends, and neighbors who believed in our vision for reliable, rider-focused transit and helped us collect more than 430 petition signatures from across District B—including signatures from every single voting precinct. Thank you to everyone who signed a petition, volunteered your time, donated, or encouraged our campaign along the way. This is just the beginning.
Over the coming months, we'll continue sharing our vision for new leadership with more reliable, financially sustainable RTD that puts riders first, expands opportunities through transit-oriented development, and delivers the dependable service our communities deserve. Together, we're building a stronger future for transit across the Denver region.
As of writing this blog, our campaign has the lowest petition signature exclusion rate of any RTD candidate this election cycle. We have a 14% exclusion rate wasn't an accident—it was intentional. We chose to collect signatures the old-fashioned way by going door-to-door and meeting voters where they are. It's harder work, but those conversations made us a better campaign and kept our focus exactly where it belongs: on the people we hope to serve.
