BUS ROUTES IN DISTRICT 'B'

Bus routes in the Regional Transportation District (RTD) in the Denver metro area are currently in a period of adjustment and gradual recovery after pandemic-era disruptions. The agency operates more than 100 bus routes across the region, but many lines have experienced frequency reductions, schedule changes, or service adjustments due to lower ridership and past driver shortages. In recent years RTD has modified routes and timetables to improve reliability, sometimes reducing trips during low-demand periods while increasing service on certain corridors. Bus reliability can vary across the system, with delays sometimes caused by traffic congestion, operator shortages, or closely spaced stops that slow travel times. Some routes in District B have seen little or no improvments in frequency and reliability.
My goal here is to show data for routes that serve District B and find areas where improvements can be made that impact District B.
SERVICE AREA DEFICIENCIES
North Green Valley:
Currently, the Northern Green Valley Neighborhood does not have bus service, despite its fast growing residential development and the presence of key facilities such as the Gaylord Conference Center, Pepsi Bottling, High Point Academy, and Flight Safe pilot School. This includes all areas located north of East 56th Street. They lack both bus and rail transportation options, except the 61st and Pena rail station.
North East Aurora:
The Warehouse and Big Box retailers roughly located south 38th Ave and north of the I-70 remain without any transit access. There are some newer subdivisions north of 38th that notably lack access.
